Prisoner 404
Game prototype created by a team of 4 during a semester
In the video game creation class, we were tasked with creating a prototype based on the theme "Your life is currency." We opted for a top-down game in a Tron-style environment. The player must choose power-ups, which cost life points, and the health bar decreases over time once inside the level. The player's goal is to find a balance between purchasing power-ups and managing the available time in the level, which is influenced by the level layout.
Unfortunately, the game did not reach production. The jury determined that most of the work would involve level design and balancing, whereas the production class was meant to test our development abilities. We were therefore transferred to another project called "LifeTime".
This project was my first experience using Perforce. We encountered some difficulties with the software, but it allowed us to master the tool. The assets used were purchased by UQAC as part of the class, so I do not have the right to continue developing it or to share the build.
